We all know

I just repurposed a 2012 MacBook Pro to a Fedora 40 machine. I had to install compatible drivers for the OS to see the wifi card, but other than that it works really well. I tried the Apple support route to see if I could get macOS 10.7 Lion back on there (our friend bricked it), but to no avail. I enjoy calligraphy because it is a type of meditation for me. I am part of a typology community that puts out a weekly glyph challenge where a person is encouraged to be creative with it and it still be recognizable. This week is the Arabic letter ج [d͡ʒim]. This is what I submitted.

I just showed my kids the first two episodes of Voltron: Defender of the Universe (1984) and they. are. hooked. That was my favorite show when I was that age. I seriously thought they'd give me the stink eye, but instead I was met with tears and anger when I stopped the show (it was bedtime) since they didn't get to see the lions in action yet. I hope I did right.
