@JLong wonder how long those cars work if the LTE modem fuse goes missing.
It happens sometimes. {fuses} just explode. Natural causes. -- Repo Man

@evistre Good dog.
Mine leads me to leaves that need to be raked into a pile so he can DESTROY THAT PILE
@sheseala I'm still stuck at the "UV glowing"
@EileenKCarpenter every mammal is basically the same deal
@band ...or dog. It could take a dog. Or cat.
@kel can't hear you over this 2nd cup

I think eventually we figure out some other way than factory farms. They're fragile, terrible, and smell horrific. Also terrible.
@LlamaMountainStudioArts oh right, yes, very important! Dry out any rock that goes on top. Probably safe to leave them underneath the stove, here we get into geology and permeability and I don't know anything. But river rocks will definitely cause problems, can confirm!
@tyghebright @mcfate
Wonder if that got them some attention from George Takei. He was a kid in one of those camps.
@LlamaMountainStudioArts The stone might eventually break or get discolored, otherwise it should be fine! I keep either a stock pot of water on top -- more for humidity -- or stones.
@LlamaMountainStudioArts as you know, heaters are worst case scenario for power consumption. If there's a way to heat some mass (cinder block, brick) it may stretch the benefit. I'm tuned in to see how it goes!
What is this heresy. LaTeX* type setting has been around since 1993(?) Now some upstart Rust developer thinks they can make a more friendly, better system that compiles 100 times faster, and oh hey that's pretty nice output....

@corlin I might have to get in on this racket. Subvert the dominant paradigm and all.
@northernbassist Fun fact they can fly in that "Throwing Star" formation
@redenigma @catlynne333 @InvaderGzim
Exactly. Many advantages to not having a landline.
But even when I had a landline; nada. Just lucky.
@MLClark Love this game, and I also think about which of these things "stick". We've come up with a lot of enabling technology. Some is flash in the pan, other stuff endures for decades/centuries. The monograph, stairs*, fax machine, qwerty keyboard, basic wheelchair. Could fill a book...
*stairs are even deadly but we keep 'em around.
