Welp. The storm dropped a lot of water, which is appreciated. But also shook off a lot more pecans. They're not developed enough to ever eat.
Not a great year here for stone fruits or nuts. 🤷

@sjvn At some point "Avian" will be replaced with "Drone" and that will probably be soon.

@sjvn
I feel professionally obligated to provide a relevant RFC:

A Standard for the Transmission of IP Datagrams on Avian Carriers
rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc1149

@sjvn @lr yeah I noticed their cookies (and they have a _lot_ of subsidiaries) despite never having had a FB/IG/n account. It takes a lot of active diligence to avoid their tracking and I'm not confident it's possible.

Well you know who else believes in Bigfoot?
My hero Jane Goodall.

So thanks, buddy!

My email inbox asks, "Do You Want Ultimate BBQ Control?"

No. I'm just not ready.

There's also a tough necessary initial conceptual step -- i.e. Acknowledge the problem, understand that my worldview to date is deeply flawed and requires some unlearning. Not a good feeling, then what.
Many haven't gotten that far; some have just started, some are many years along.
Tough to meet people where they are, hard to know where they are.

@Beanc I just don't get it with these short bed pickups. How am I supposed to carry a 4x8 sheet of plywoooooowhattheheckisgoingonhere

@thewebrecluse @janallmac
Hate that a lot. Agree that SM can be lighter fluid for toddlers* and/or the unwell.
I think mailboxes were the precursor to social media's anonymous drive-by's. Ours would be periodically smashed.

*for lack of a better term. I like toddlers.

@ianthealy I hear ya. Could you install it in WSL? That's getting pretty good I hear.

@ianthealy Did this solution involve installing Ubuntu over the top of Windows?

@MLClark @th3j35t3r
Agree with ya M.L., just have to notice the presumption (generally, not yours) that hashtags are for filters. I think I'm in a small minority that doesn't filter, mute, or block*. I use hashtags because they enable _search_ and for my own amusement (goofy tags).

By extension I definitely don't expect anyone to follow suit. It's just my deal.

Filter as needed. Mute, block, and tackle.

*except wordle, the space eater

@XSGeek Don't understand (power rangers?) but I know that's funny

anyone here using FreeBSD as their laptop OS? I finally got reliable WiFi working... (through wifibox of course)
