Beavers do it better.

The Swiss court decision is an inflection point, not just for EU doings.
"...the first decision confirming that countries have an obligation to protect people from its effects...would open the door to more legal challenges in the countries that are members of the Council of Europe, which includes the 27 EU nations as well as many others from Britain to Turkey."

Beyond the headlines -- or page 5 articles, or press releases -- about COP28, there are binding agreements. Here's a quick view of what is and isn't getting written down.
"COP28 will culminate in a set of legal decisions, under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and its associated Kyoto Protocol and Paris Agreement.
This set of legal texts lies at the heart of COP28 – and every other UN climate summit."

Here we go, this is a big milestone.
Volvo delivered three heavy-duty line-haul electric trucks to operate in fixed routes between Danfoss sites in Denmark, and one of the trucks will operate 24 hours a day, five days per week, without significant charging downtime.
Volvo set a global target that in 2030 50% of all new trucks sold will be battery or fuel cell electric. (70% in Europe in 2030)

the first time a U.S. court has ruled against a government for violating a constitutional right based on climate change, said Harvard Law School Professor Richard Lazarus.
“...state court not a federal court and the ruling is based on a state constitution and not the U.S. Constitution, but it is still clearly a major, pathbreaking win for climate plaintiffs,”

On the one hand, yay electrify everything. However I'm wondering about the cost/benefit on already heavy vehicles going EV. The added weight will cause almost geometrically more road damage and a lot more tire wear (particles==bad). Versus SULEV/hybrid.
School bus does seem like a great candidate for today's battery tech. Gonna call this a win.

10 states plan to sue EPA over standards for residential wood-burning stoves
"programs that encourage people to trade in older stoves and other wood-burning appliances, such as forced-air furnaces, haven’t necessarily improved air quality"
States want more/better regulation?! That's a thing?
