Kamala had ~10 million less votes than Biden had in 2020.

MAGA isn't on the rise. Apathy is.

Strange. With all the ...joy, and women's movement, rallies, tiktok campaign, and everything that was at stake, ... what was different in 2024 vs. 2020?

@artemis I think that we were too focused on those who agree with us and didn't pay much attention at all to those who had tuned out a long time ago.

Put another way: we amplified the noise.

@kel
I wonder which grpoups and why did they tune out? She even had more Rs speaking out (vs. 2020) and endorsing her. Puzzling

@artemis I'm guessing working class folks who aren't online.

They're a sizable portion of the electorate.

@artemis @kel
My vote hasn’t been counted yet. Places that weren’t close may not even count the provisional ballots.

@kel @artemis I think COVID was a real advantage in a way. People had few distractions they were allowed to pursue so voting out Dumpy was a much bigger priority. Now we're past the pandemic and people have freedom of movement and ignorance they chose to exercise. And overconfidence that right would prevail, thinking the anomalous voting numbers of 2020 were the new normal or indicative of a trend towards blue.
