Hi CoSo,
In your experience, what helps with weight loss ?
☀️
This is not for advice, it's just curiosity.
Not interested in athletic or aesthetics heroic measures.
Tx.
yup, that's a classic.
Many ppl struggle and they need all kind of tips and tricks to make it happen.
@artemis Reducing sugar.
Also my coworker did Noom and had amazing results.
ok, you know how long they stayed w/noom?
@artemis She’s on maintenance plan now, but I think it took her 6 months to reach her goal.
sounds like a reasonable, healthy pace.
@artemis Find & set a reasonable calorie limit for the day & stick to it. Cut out overly processed foods. Walking is underrated, and makes cardio simple. Your phone (Apple or Android) has a health tracker, and can honestly be a big help in keeping you focused. I hope this helps.
yes, thanks for sharing :-)
@artemis intermittent fasting!!
you feel it can be maintained, long term ?
@artemis yes! If you're not used to it, you'll get very hungry at first, so just try to get over that part by drinking heaps of water. Try short fasts in the beginning. There's lots of apps that can help start the journey. I've been doing it for a few years and find it great - but can't emphasize enough how important the water intake is.
excellent tip, water! thanks for sharing.
@artemis for me it was to count calories to an absurd level and never go over to the point of walking around the block to get enough calories for an extra snack. I don't have problems sticking to something as long as I don't allow exceptions, otherwise I make exceptions constantly
You sound like a very determined person. You can stick to a self-imposed rule. How was managing hunger?
@artemis not too bad. fortunately I love vegetables and they can fill you up. also, a small snack between meals makes you less likely to go overboard
@ibid
good strategy
@artemis
increase exercise
decrease caloric intake.
