I’ve always disliked November through January. Three holidays, it’s cold & usually windy, it’s end of month with end of Q4 and end of year, family obligations, and too many events crammed into 2-3 months.
@annamuneca me too. Helpful to set small events to look forward to. My overarching goal is to change back to DST, though.
@annamuneca
It always seems like in the business world nothing gets done in the the fourth quarter. No new contracts, no completion. Everybody's behind, it's February before things start to grind again.
Now that I'm semi retired I try to leave the country to avoid the seasons stress. But it looks like I'm here this season as I have work on my own house to do.
@FireMonkey Q4 seems like everything runs on fumes and the kinetic energy of the previous months of the year. I haven’t enjoyed time off around the holidays in my adult life.
@annamuneca yes, just too much - it's overwhelming. I really have to force myself to take things one day at a time & try to decompress as much as possible. I'm a lot kinder to myself when it's this time of year & yes, I will have another cookie please 😀.
@annamuneca Me too. And as I get older, it's a very sad and maudlin period of time.
