Thought I’d share a wee 📸 of where I live in #Scotland
This pic was literally taken just down a big hill from my house in Port Glasgow. My wee town was primarily known for shipbuilding back in the day, not so much now (Maggie Thatcher and her shite excuse for a political party the Tories had a big hand in that - save that story for another day)

This was taken just as the sun was rising, the water flat calm (& no rain for a wee change 😂).

A lot of anger out there over SCOTUS and I share the sentiment, but I feel like I need to balance out my feed with something positive, like this photo of my cat Ash when she was just a few weeks old. #CatsofCoSo #kitten

Today's solar surface. I tried to process it in such a way that I wasn't sacrificing the prominence to bring out more surface detail. But the detail stayed pretty clear. Pretty happy with this. But I'm still new to solar imaging and the biggest problem I have is uneven illumination.

And I spent the rest of the night getting five hours of data on M57, the Ring Nebula. It's bright and colorful, but tricky because it's so small. (This image is cropped a lot.)

And this is three hours of M83, also known as the Southern Pinwheel Galaxy. An hour of the images I stacked were from a night in April. The rest I took last night.

While people here process their anger and hone it into action, today is a good day to remind folks of the tools at their disposal.

If you are already stressed to the gills, it is perfectly fine to mute and block users as you see fit. You can always unmute/unblock later. Filtering hashtags and sticking to the My Friends column can also help slow the emotional tide. Pin #CatsOfCoSo and/or #DogsOfCoSo and feel your blood pressure lower.
