@MLClark Simon Rosenberg (@SimonWDC on Twitter) is a pretty good antidote for mainstream media creating a false race. He correctly documented in 2022 there would be no "red wave." He's been posting for weeks about the Republicans releasing false polls to game collators such as 538 to make it look like the race is closer than it really is.

His website is the Hopium Chronicles.

@kismatt I ran the Science Fiction Round Table on the now-defunct GEnie network. JMS was my first "pro" recruit. He used GEnie (and a few other places) to document B5 production as it evolved.

I had an inside contact at TNG, so I had a lot of crew, as well as Wil Wheaton, participating in the SFRT.

We also had a deal for Science Fiction Writers of America (SFWA) members.

We were really hopping for a while, until a GE suit ruined it. Long story.

@kismatt One led to the other. I wrote for licensees starting with TNG S1. I knew Joe Straczynski long before B5 sold; no one at WB knew the market like I did, and I had JMS's trust, so I transitioned over to B5.

Probably the "mic drop" project was the B5 cookbook. It's worth $$$ if you can find it. I came up with writing it into the storyline, and JMS agreed. It appeared in a S5 episode, so it's canon.

I've started a modest vanity blog about script writing. It's called The Written Trek. The idea is to write about each episode's script, starting with the Original Series.

This is not "it sucks." The idea is to provide historical context and evolution. Two articles are already on the blog, explaining the factors and influences that led to the creation of Star Trek and its original format.

The link is below.

@nonayadambidnes I'd be more interested in knowing what he's collecting in addition to a signature -- name, address, phone, email, X account, other social media ...

@BlueStateBabe Yes, you'd have to create thumbnails of the original, otherwise the file quickly bloats.

@BlueStateBabe Microsoft Access is a better tool for this, but is also more complex. This Microsoft link suggests how to do it; it depends on what version of Excel you have.
