The test has been delayed until at least Saturday, to replace a grid fin actuator.

Here's the SpaceflightNow.com YouTube video feed for today's SES launch targeting 4:08 PM EST.

It's cloudy outside, so we probably won't see much from the ground.

We have a launch coming up this afternoon, targeting 4:08 PM EST. The payloads are two satellites for SES of Luxembourg.

By flying reusable rockets, SpaceX has brought down the cost of placing payloads in orbit, bringing back the commercial launch business from overseas.

It's been overcast all day, so I don't think we'll see much. I'll post a video link before launch.

"The Kennedy site did report injury data for 2016, the first year it was required to do so โ€“ but hasnโ€™t reported since ... The facility employed only 50 people at the time; it had just taken over a launch pad from the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Sixteen of those workers were injured, reported. By 2021, employment at Kennedy had grown to more than 1,100 workers, said."

56 years ago today, the first Saturn V rocket launched on an uncrewed test flight.

The launch is perhaps best remembered for anchor Walter Cronkite's description of his press building shaking, holding the window in, the ceiling about to collapse, etc.

Saturn V was the most powerful U.S. rocket ever built until the launched earlier this year.

Just found this video on the presidential library web site showing Elon Musk giving the president a tour of Launch Complex 40 on April 15, 2010.

I've seen plenty still photos, but this video was released in response to a FOIA request.

For those who think Elon has turned fascist, 13 years ago he was Obama's best pal.
