56 years ago today, the first Saturn V rocket launched on an uncrewed test flight.
The launch is perhaps best remembered for #CBSNews anchor Walter Cronkite's description of his press building shaking, holding the window in, the ceiling about to collapse, etc.
Saturn V was the most powerful U.S. rocket ever built until the #SpaceX #Starship launched earlier this year.
@thedisasterautist I think the only launch since then that matched the motions was the first Falcon Heavy launch.
@WordsmithFL: In some ways, especially those moments there, those were the days.
