i have a staff member who means well. she comes from a family of casual racists. her dad, who she's close to, just shacked up w/ a really racist woman but b/c she treats her dad well, they just 'turn a blind eye' to her racist talk & jokes.

meanwhile, her 11 yr old son watches misogynists, racists & homophobes on youtube & told his mom she's just being 'too sensitive' when she says they aren't funny. her hubby watches the same stuff. this is how racism is generational.🙄

I surmise that if voters were given an actual opportunity to vote on shutting down gerrymandering via independent redistricting commissions, assuming the ballot initiative were written simply and clearly, we'd see it passed in every state.
