Feeling kinda weirded out right now. I had surgery today and my surgeon told me I smelled yummy (I wasn’t wearing perfume) 👀 Then on top of this, front desk informed me that another patient felt some sort of “connection” with me and wanted them to give me his number. He’s a well known business owner and so I’m assuming front desk thought they were doing my single ass some sort of favour. Completely awkward and unprofessional to say the least. ☹️ Surgery went well….I’m home relaxing now 💜

My female hair stylist hit on me last week. The first comment I assumed was my imagination. The second was clear.
Kind of flattered me and creeped me out at the same time.
@LnzyHou I can relate!!! My initial consultation with the surgeon, he pulled all the nurses into the room to look at my hair. I felt completely creeped out and wondered if he was just being overly nice. But, then he asked if I was single 👀 Today….well, it’s clear he was hitting on me. I’m both flattered and creeped out at the same time.
Go for it. But after dating docs in the Denver hospital I worked 6 yrs, they think they are god.
@LnzyHou nah….I’ll pass. I’m not interested in either one of the guys that hit on me. I went in for treatment…not to be hit on 🤦♀️ Guys are strange.
@Valkyrie_D I'd be a whole lot of creeped out if it were me. Jesus, it took me a month of going through my current partner's till at the grocery store before I got the nerve to ask her out. @LnzyHou

Hi Val. I'm glad your surgery went well. If I may offer an opinion. Perhaps it's old school but it's one that if I was in this situation, it would be one of concern.
Not only was it unprofessional, it was unethical for not just the doc, but the staff to have approached you w/those comments. I, personally, would never set foot in that practice again. And I'd be sure to let them know why.
If this happened to you, it likely has happened to others. I'd be inclined to report them.

Medical staff are *not* matchmakers and the surgeon was totally out of line.
@stueytheround funny you say this…I actually made a snide remark to front desk, asking them if they were matchmakers or something. The surgeon gave me a home call to ask if I was okay—not even an hour after leaving. 👀
@Valkyrie_D beyond creepy. Report them! You should never be treated that way or made to fee uncomfortable.

Totally out of line… When that sort of thing happens, you can stare at them and make it clear they are out of line. if you don’t mind the compliment, you can say ‘well that’s nice. Thanks. ‘ But if you’re not interested, saying ‘I’m off the market’ works, too. Usually. I’d have been weirded out being anesthetized if the surgeon said that to me! You can always file a complaint, also! Feel better soon! <3
