What bands (any decade) do you think, that had name recognition, never made it as big as they could have? Whether it be poor timing when they went mainstream or other reasons?
I'll start. Dangerous Toys
@sonnybillglover never heard of them. I'll have to YouTube it
@Timmah1979 the band leader was Kevin Gilbert. He was the musical genius behind Tuesday Night Social - Sheryl Crow. Unfortunately he took his own life shortly after making a great record with TM
@Timmah1979 Lone Justice
Red Rider
Max Webster
Ronnie Montrose
@Timmah1979 Clifford Brown! #CoSoMusic

Big Star, early 1970's.
I can't stress enough the influence this band had on later generations of musicians, especially those of the "alternative" music generation.
@Timmah1979 Driving N Cryin. Their "breakthrough" album, Fly Me Courageous, was bangers front to back, and I haven't disliked anything else I've pulled up on Spotify.
@Timmah1979
I’ll keep the trend going with Toy Matinee
