@CinnamonGirlE I've always said you can't quit unless you want to quit and a lot of people trying quitting when they don't want to and it doesn't work. I think I've reached that critical moment where I want to quit.
I don't believe in new year's resolutions so this isn't that. But I had a moment of epiphany today. Now forcing myself to not smoke a cigarette unless at least 2 hours have passed since the last one. I really hope I stick with this. This is step 1 and I think it goes without saying where I'm trying to go with this.
I am currently in the office and therefore unavailable. If you need to reach me, I will be out of the office and WFH for the rest of the week, you can reach me then.
@TheresaVermont I'm the cause of her many face palms :P
@TheOnlyOrbei That would be some form of luck so probably nah.
@Maude We're in the headline phase of humanity where the details don't matter.
@JolieSaboteuse I've watched a lot of pilot videos because I'm like a kid when it comes to fighter jets, and that's one thing I hear them say a lot. You can have the best jet in the world but if you don't know how to properly operate it, an inferior jet will shoot you out of the sky.
@nblumengarten I'm sure that you're right but you know as much as me but it's just bad optics that will be used by the Republicans to justify that what Trump did wasn't wrong because Biden did it too. It's fuel they didn't. But I agree, under a microscope, probably very different situations.
@JolieSaboteuse I’d also add that the British, American, and tank crews of other nations trained by the British and Americans have superior training that makes all the difference.
@Mark15 People no longer make the effort to concentrate on the road. All it takes is for someone to have someone in the passenger seat and then you end up behind them and you can see the head constantly looking sideways while the car is constantly breaking when it shouldn't be or swerving. Simply put, it feels that most people don't give a shit about others on the road but themselves.
Just Steve. Everything sounds so much better in the thinking stage versus the spoken stage. Sometimes don't even understand myself.
