First time ever that my 4yo has gotten out of bed and tried to wander around the house after bedtime. In the past week or two he’s started getting up extra early in the morning due to it getting light earlier (like 6:30) but he’s never had trouble falling or staying asleep before. Any advice on how to handle this? #parenting

For the newbies, in 5 years I never felt there was much ‘political’ content on CoSo. In part, that’s why I continued to participate on Twitter, as I’m more engaged than I can pour onto my RL friends! Today’s news, and our collective response of its significance, is a sign of highly unusual news breaking. So, if political raging isn’t your thing, it’s not usually the CoSo ‘Firehose’ experience. You’d usually have to go looking for it.
We may need some leeway as we collect ourselves.

Whoever thinks SCOTUS going to overturn Roe vs Wade is shocking hadn't been paying attention since the 70s. This had been promised to evangelicals for-ev-er. Think women being able to rent an apartment without a man and have credit without a hubby or daddy is safe? Think civil rights is safe? Look at the damage SCOTUS has already done to voting. If you're late to the game, it's not too late to start screaming ans tell those you know to wake up.

Technically, what is circulating on social media & in the news right now is a DRAFT not a final opinion or decision. The final decision is not due until June, but Politico leaked the draft (written in February), and I am grateful they did.
We have a little time to mobilize, march, and protest LOUDLY..

@bumblebeedc It’s in settings under “filters”. On the web version there’s a very tiny settings link on the rightmost column.
@PhilipJayMatricardi I’m not sure what exactly in my setup is blocking it but I’m using chrome and a pihole ad blocker and it doesn’t come up. I’ve heard some other folks mention that their ad blockers stop it from loading too, so that might be the thing to experiment with.
@fafo_91 Trolls gonna troll. But they will find it difficult here.

@Ai_Ming The fluid simulation creates randomness which is used for security (generating random numbers for encryption and stuff). It works well by itself but the visualization lets you add more randomness by clicking and dragging on it to create more swirls and it’s just so mesmerizing to watch.
