@holon42 @gemswinc I rarely use it other than looking up something specific. But it is probably a strategy to get more to pay for Premium.

I had Premium on a four month trial. I can't justify the cost as little as I use YouTube. $14 a month is too much. Maybe if it was $5?

i just reduce my use. and comment about it.

sooner or later, they'll realize, or fail completely.

I've had a premium account for ages, but I sure could use that money elsewhere.
I don't even remember what advantages we get from a premium account.

There used to be Premium content as well. (Cobra Kai started as a YouTube Premium series.) But the premium content was never great and now is gone.

I think you get YouTube Music as well with it?

That sounds about right. I don't mind ads, I already have Apple Music, so I think at first I'm going to pause my account for a couple of months to see if it's acceptable, and if it is, I'll use that $14 elsewhere.

@S_r_stone That's how I generally use it too, something specific. However, I get caught up
in long ads if I click on someone's link, and I will not watch. Volume down for awhile, then give up & click off. Ugh @holon42

@gemswinc @holon42 You can skip the ad after a short time if you watch for the link in bottom right.

Sometimes you have to sit through the beginning of more than one though.

@gemswinc @holon42 Yeah, I think it depends on the content more than the ad. You have to suffer through more for content considered higher value.

Random content I search, like How to videos, seem to show ads periodically but you can skip them after.a few second
