You might guess that I love my #punchclass --for many reasons, including fitness, novelty, and practical utility/self-defense.

I am struck by how many of my other classmates make assumptions about my motives. Because I have some military in my history, they assume I am aligned with them politically and have the same fears--that our nation is getting overrun by dangerous liberals and foreigners.

They don't realize I am what they purport to fear.
