Hubby's truck broke down on our way to my Dr's appt yesterday. Luckily we were on a side street and parked it safely out of the way. A guy, AJ, came outside, offering help. A friend was going to tow the truck after lunch, so AJ offered us a ride home, 25 minutes away. Hubby hid $50 in AJ's console, but he refused to take it.

After seeing and hearing hateful ugliness day after day, AJ gave me a gift I've been needing desperately - hope for humanity. I'm extremely grateful.

Why do dogs race to the door when the doorbell rings?
It's almost never for them.

I just realized that the caution I use when reading news on April 1st has become the exact same caution I use every day now.

Happy Easter to all who celebrate. May you find what you seek, from eggs to inner peace.

A man rushed into a doctor's office, shouting, "Help me, please, I'm shrinking!"
The doctor calmly said, "Now settle down. You'll have to learn to be a little patient."😂

I lift weights only on Saturday and Sunday because Monday to Friday are weak days.😂

Ha! Watch. Mine will probably break tomorrow. 🤪

apparently has a new nickname trending on X: "Don Poorleone"🤣 🤣

Too good!

you should give a fuck. really.
but only about
what brings you alive.

the magic that makes you
sing with rapture
and dance
like a dervish

when you let yourself
be filled with joy
the sparkle of your heart
knows no bounds.

spend your fucks on mermaids
and fairy tales
and your own life rising
like a phoenix
from the ashes.

save your fucks
for magical shit.

I wanted to share this short poem by Author Guiterman. I saw it this morning in Greg Olear's newsletter. Reminded me of the current state of the country and how much I appreciate all of you "roses" on Coso.

What one approves,
another scorns,
and thus
his nature each discloses.
You find the rosebush
full of thorns,
I find the
thornbush full of roses.

There are libraries in Denmark where you can borrow a person instead of a book and listen to their life story for 30 minutes. The objective is to combat prejudice. Each person has a title such as "unemployed," "refugee," "bipolar," and so on.
Listening to their story makes you realise how important it is not to "judge a book by its cover." This brilliant, innovative project is now active in a number of countries. It's known as The Human Library.
