Serious questions. Will there be some kind of underground movement to protect vulnerable people? Will there be safe places sane people can go to voice their opinions and concerns? Will there be hoarding going on now among reasonable people?

Kiddos freaking out. Terrified for their friends many of whom are lgbtq+. I told them this “we will wake up tomorrow, and we will put one foot in front of the other. We will work for a better world. I will move heaven and earth and stop at nothing to make this world safer and better for you and them.” Regardless of who wins, but with possibly different urgency and focus. We’ve made choices about where to live and which schools to go to based on inclusion and tolerance, & we will live our values.
He's a failure at everything he sets himself to. Businesses, his family, his marriages? How in fucks name does anyone have any kind of faith in this moron?

It is okay that you might be feeling fearful tonight and in the coming days.
I'm not gone a tell you not to. That would be asinine. A bunch of big important shit hangs in the balance.
But what I /am/ trying to tell you is to show yourself some compassion.
If you are in a real bad way right now, do unto yourself what you would do unto a friend in a similar struggle.
Comfort yourself - be honest, yes, but be compassionate, too. Think about the basics, and make sure they're taken care of.
Ignorance of our voters, and our national leaders is exactly the problem we have. And it must be fixed.
The education system has been stripped down to bare minimum over the years, leaving a giant gap on understanding how the system functions in the US. Civics WAS a requirement in my era of HS years in the 90's and 200's to graduate, now? Not so much, they don't even have basic home ec anymore.
