Last year I grew a bunch of yellow pear shaped tomatoes (mckenzieseeds.com/collections/). They were quite delicious and prolific. Yesterday I took the last of them out of my freezer and made sauce with them. It's delicious. This year I'm growing 4 of this variety, 4 San Marzano Roma, and 3 Brandywine. I'll be making a lot of sauces and freezing them.

Do you have a favorite kitchen implement that you treasure and won't let anyone else use? Mine is this maple spoon that I've had since the early 80s. You can see that one edge is worn from being used hard.

Tonight's dinner

That there πŸ‘‡ is the reason I never order/buy commercial pizzas.

Roasted garlic, red pepper, white onion, ham, Italian sausages, mushrooms, mozzarella, Mexican oregano, roasted squash. My Ninja Foodi was perfect for roasting both the butternut squash and the garlic.

The start of today's kitchen adventure.

The tart shells, made with finely ground raw almonds, will be filled with home made lemon curd, topped with raspberry (from garden) glaze and, if I have the energy, merengue (gotta do something with the 4 egg whites :) ) sugar substitutes used - stevia in the dough and monk fruit in the curd

I should have used straight almond flour but far too expensive.

Dinner tonight. I make some odd pizzas 🀣 yellow tomato sauce & tomatoes, Calabrese sausage, refried beans, pesto, 4 different Italian cheeses (Pecorino, Provolone Piquante, Asiago, Romano)

Today's baking - 2 loaves of 100% WW bread and a cinnamon, banana, blueberry (from my garden), WW bread pudding.

So I grew a bunch of yellow cherry tomatoes this year and decided I would turn them into tomato sauce because why not :) Tonight's dinner was Fettuccine with this sauce and chopped Mammoth Basil and lemon zest.
