When I left on my run, it was 73 degrees, but I didn't account for the near 100% humidity.
The air was so thick you could cut a slice and store it later. I covered about 4 and a half miles, then went to the gym for another 40 minutes on the elliptical to make certain I was keeping up with my training load.
I was unprepared for how hard the steamy day hit me, by the time I got finished with the run it was 81 and like running in a dryer vent.
Still, I saw it through!
Good morning groovy souls!
It's a bright and beautiful morning out there. It promises to be a hot one today, as if in herald to the coming summer season.
Bright sun, birds singing, life going about its way... It can be easy to miss those things amidst the distraction of the news, and the challenges of the day.
Yet while those news reports will pass to history, and challenges will fade, those cycles will remain, beautiful and resolute, moment after moment.
Onward, toward the dawn!
Good night groovy souls! It is time to rest.
I am an awe and deeply humbled by the love shown to me today, the kind words said, the welcomes given.
Hope shines like the first rays of dawn reminding a world that is languishing in the cold of the night that a brighter day is coming.
Amid the protests, the wars, the strife, and the division, there are still hearts that care, people that love, and hope to be shared.
Those lights will always overcome the dark.
Onward, toward the dawn!
This week, I've been focusing in on getting closer to my gym routine. This is day 2 of 6 ^_^
I'm pushing hard. I'm still not moving as fast, but I'm focusing in on Zone 3 to low zone 4 cardio, working on building power and endurance back to where I was.
I'm making progress!
Good morning groovy souls!
We had storms last night as I went to rest. It's become so unusual for me to hear the thunder. We simply do not get storms like that in the PNW.
Now though, the sun is rising and the birds are singing. Peace has again returned no matter how busy and cacophonous the night.
Nature shares her wisdom that peace will come in time.
Onward, toward the dawn!
Asking for a share... I get that my own followers have seen these books previously. Once, perhaps twice, okay maybe a dozen times. So I'm asking for shares... There are piles of books out there, equally deserving of a mention but I can only vouch for my own.
If you're super-modern, trendy & used to getting what you expect, these are the perfect remedy. Read about a scruffy poor kid who goes without, does nothing and gets nowhere. Non-events are my speciality.

@daniel You're a good soul.
Best advice I can give on the rescue inhaler is "Who cares why?". It's only purpose is to make breathing easier.
Maintenence inhalers are a different thing and increased use of rescue inhalers may affect how they are prescribed, but puff away.
Keep a record so you know if usage is increasing (tho refills show this as well).
I had to learn the inhaler journey due to covid and the FNP that said, "Honey, if you can't breathe, suck. We'll figure out why later." was a game changer.
