THe monitor is nice but it doesn't exactly fit in a backpack. ^_^
Overall, I'm excited about the opportunities here. I'm considering adding another DBA to my business license in Washington as a result of all this.
"Wild Hare Consulting" ^_^
It's a great blessing, as I can finally support myself and my novel writing, while still having time to pursue my novel writing.
My current work setup. I borrowed the Monitor from my buddy that just moved in with us in Washington.
For my new work with the law firm, the second monitor has been critical, as I've got my notes on the big display and the video on my mac allowing me to scrutinize and look for detail.
The second I clear some debt and get on an even plane, I think I'll be investing in an Ipad pro for the screen size and display to keep me productive. It's interesting how new work prompts new expense...
The sci fi writer in me is most delighted about this.

@HopeSeeker Hello my friend! Thank you for joining me on the journey!
I was understandably, fairly upset yesterday when I first got the news. However, I've been making an effort to "pull back to the center of the wheel" a bit.
I am concerned. That battery was supposed to last for 3 years minimum, 5 to 6 max, and it lasted for 2.5
His form of Parkinson's is highly aggressive and progressing with rapidity. The fact the DBS is so taxed to exhaust its power so readily is further proof of something we've known for a time.
My Dad has a deep brain stimulator for his Parkinson's Disease.
It helps regulate the tremors he gets. The battery popped an alert that it needed to be swapped a few weeks ago, and yesterday it failed entirely.
My understanding is that the sheer backlog of people needing care, mixed with the inefficiencies of the VA system have slowed things down to a crawl.
Currently he's not due for a consult until May 16th. Not a battery swap... A consult.
Meanwhile his tremors are out of control.
Good morning groovy souls!
I didn't get to bed till 11! Someone called last minute as I was laying down and needed to talk.
The good news is that I slept incredibly hard when I got there.
I'm feeling so much better this morning. Going to a small run, and then focus today on my writing projects.
There is joy in that recovery, not feeling tired, or weary as I did yesterday.
Onward, toward the dawn!
@vo1de Riley's Shadow? Interesting. That's the name of one of my main characters. Made my ears perk.
