@MLClark @LiseL The last line of Wright's poem shocks me.

It seemed an echoing chorus to the first, but that last line jarred me out of that. I found myself thinking, "How can one call their life a waste when they've noticed such beautiful things in the moment?"

@evistre @corlin One that has no peace within cannot expect to find peace outside of themselves either.

@LSWellesley These photos of the victims are deeply moving.

The loss of one life is the loss of a whole world. It's unfathomable to me that such a thing so precious could be treated so shabbily but that's the tragedy lurking out in the open.

They did not merely pass, they were taken from us. May we never forget their names, or their lives.

@AkomoCombine @th3j35t3r

Be excellent to each other and party on dudes.

Honestly, it was good enough for Bill and Ted which means its good enough for all of us.

@Minholkin The ability to listen to an opinon or viewpoint you don't agree with, and still maintain magnanimity and even friendship with that person was once considered a standard of maturity.

Truth is not necessarily a zero sum game.

“I'm not saying that you have to agree with anybody or decide that they're right at all, but at the very least, we have to reclaim openness and curiosity as virtues as opposed to vices.”

@TrueBloodNet Yeah, a lot of places did that it seems. Even Ihop stopped being 24 hours.

I understand that the Flu Pandemic of 1918 changed the world in many radical ways, even popularizing tile bathrooms because they were easier to sanitize.

I think our Covid Pandemic will be much the same. Only those of us that remember the world as it was will realize how different things are.

@Ms420 It's always a good day to celebrate Tyr, God of honor and warriors!

@TrueBloodNet Oh Meijer! I shopped at them all the time when I was in Indianapolis.

Going at 2am was my survival strategy for grocery shopping.

@TrueBloodNet It truly can be... the quality of the adventure varies depending on if you're there when its quiet, or you're there when the entire gambit of humanity has decided it was time to get a gallon of milk.

If you get bored foraging for food though you can always go check out the clothes, the home and garden, the housewares...

I'm pretty sure there's a portal to Narnia in there somewhere.

@kel That's because Trump is the head of a political cult, and Biden was simply the democratic nominee and sitting president.

Different standards have been applied.

@TrueBloodNet It's honestly shocking to me how much the quality of produce varies depending on exactly where I'm at.

In olden times things were in and out of season at different times, but in this era, with so much stuff getting shipped in, the fact that the disparity is so wide does boggle.

@TrueBloodNet Normally if at home I'm going to Fred Meyers... Which is like a walmart with a glandular condition. IT's huge!

When I travel, I try to find the place that has a good selection of produce and tofu.

@TrueBloodNet When its quite at the market, sometimes I like to wander the aisles and boggle at all the many choices.

There's like 5 different type of name brand cheerios alone...

@HawkHorton How goes the day? Sounds like you're rocking the mellow.

@CelluloidBlonde They way I've heard it explained is that a Nerd will tell you everything there is to know about Star Trek... a Geek will tell you everything you need to know to build a nuclear reactor.
