@XanHart Haven't had an apple tree in a bit over a decade. We'd spray for bugs right after the blossoms started to wither. Once the apples started growing we'd remove all but one or two on those clusters with more, keep it watered and let it to its thing. They weren't honey crisps but made a damn good pie - except the graph branch that I thing was a Braeburn. Those were good eaten.

@XanHart Not going to pretend to be an expert, but the scab on the pears is caused by a fungus we were told. Looked it up and it appears the same for apples: https://www.thespruce.com/apple-scab-disease-4845572. Appears a fungal spray is the only real cure.

@realDDGlover @XanHart @annamousse Agreed. Looks like scab. Not pretty and may inhibit size a bit, but not a deal breaker. We've a pear tree that gets it because our fish pond is directly below so we can't spray. We just peal them, cut out and worms and make perserves or fruit leather. Tastes just as good. However, thinning the apples by 25%-50% will help with size.
