The circle of life happened in the back yard this afternoon. I feel bad for the jay's mate who was in the Japanese maple on the right calling alarm as loud as she could, but my hat's off to the raptor because that's a tight yard with little room to maneuver. It was quite the feat getting the jay. #circleoflife #raptor #birds

Went for a walk this morning. The streets were practically empty. I could hear the swallows' calling one another from their nests under the downtown building eaves. A Canadian goose flew up the river so low and close I could hear it's wings flap. It was sunny and nearly 60 and everyone I met had the same knowing smile I did. I love Easter Sunday.
