Hi @66ALW99 ! First, an answer. I don't like them so I think I'd vote yes on the dickish call.

This is a great opportunity to ask if you know about CoSo's integration with Fact Layer. It's a browser plugin that will show you the leanings of any site in a blue to red scale. There are five total ratings. It will highlight every link with the appropriate color for that media outlet. I find it very useful in preparing myself for a link will say.

@SilenceDogood The apps are similar (CoSo forked from Mastodon) but the vibe is completely different. Mastodon is like Twitter, Reddit and Blogger all got together to have a child, but no one knows who the father is. CoSo is like the Brady Bunch and The Waltons having a block party. I've a Mastodon account for a specific server for work reasons. CoSo is where I come to relax and have fun.

The afternoon got real quiet at work so I turned on some tunes. Picked a 90s station. 1st song reminded me he was gone. RIP Coolio.

Hi @fms82216 CoSo removes all metadata before putting photos on the site, and the default orientation is horizontal. To make a vertical stick, use the edit button on it at least once before posting it and that should do the trick. Nice sunset @BlockDerFraun ! One weirdness about CoSo is it's ability to turn a perfectly good vertical picture into a horizontal picture. This happens because CoSo removes all meta-data from the photo before posting, and the default orientation is horizontal. If you edit the photo before posting it should allow it to stick as vertical.

@Reckoner I'd say give the CoSo way a try. Just talk about what you like rather than what you don't. Be sure to use hashtags so those of similar interest can find you. It may take awhile but your columns will accumulate. I'm up to so many they won't fit a 1080p screen, and I've combined hashtags even! 😂

@mouses @th3j35t3r I just logged into Twitter using an OTP code and it worked just fine. I'm not defending him (you know of whom I speak,) but people see blood in the water and it's all his fault. The facts are getting stretched pretty thin at times. That said, it'll be interesting to see what he doesn't consider an essential "microservice."

This is a very good security move, though he might have announced it ahead of time. NTL, SMS is not encrypted and is a terrible 2nd factor option. If you have a smartphone use an OTP app. If you don't have a smartphone, email is encrypted at least from server to server and typically end-to-end with modern clients. Just use one of those and save yourself an 'easy' compromise. If you have any account using SMS, change it to another method - today.
