@NorthernInvader that's an interesting article. I was disappointed that overall it was still inconclusive. It reads as if religion in America is negative and abroad, not (paraphrasing). I find these types of studies fascinating. It was also interesting that they mentioned spirituality and such. This felt like a reference towards non christian/pagan/new age/agnostic type beliefs. Sadly the comic seems to have distilled to the lowest common denomination

@StonedElf how do they know he was homeless? O.o could've been a dump after criminal/police/murderer needed to dispose of the evidence

@asmitty I meant it's weird that the article makes it sound like some travesty or injustice. I agree with you that they could if they wanted, but they don't seem to want to

@asmitty one would imagine either would be able to purchase the home easily... weird that they haven't

@SalK I'm a fan as well. I hate to be that person that says "the book was better" but when it comes to his books and short stories the book is always amazingly better πŸ˜€

@redenigma yes, exactly. I agree 100 percent. As for Paul and Timothy, they are father and son, so the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Some bible scholars actually argue about the possibility of Paul being an antichrist

@redenigma to be fair, christianity is meant to be like most religions, in that it has a base "don't be a douche" rule. When people get caught in the weeds of old testament we end up with that type of stuff. Even among bible scholars there is debate with questionable content in the new testament. The safest be for Christians is to follow Christ (as meant to do) and not so much other sources. The hate people site is not based on anything Jesus said or instructed people to do

@pettybooshwah the real questions we should be focused on:
1) if both people are proved to have lied and been acting like idiots, why do we characterize either side as better or worse then the other?

2) fans of both individuals acted horribly, but the focus has always been on the hatred towards amber heard. Why was the hate that was focused on her (not all women) seen as being addressed towards all women?

I find the whole thing problematic and troubling at best. There are no winners

@process I'm not too sure about that. I mean, the only other option is to make us all pay for services. I know most people wouldn't want to subscribe to use duckduck, google, etc. I always remember nothing is free in this world. So we have to balance out what we're asking vs legitimate reasons why they'd give services to us

@process smart tech can't be smart if it doesn't know what you want. It's like having a new butler, demanding your favorite dinner, but refusing to tell the new butler what that dish is. We can't have smart tech and privacy. Of course tech does overstep in places

@ToruOkada true, but every thing has privacy invasions. Even owning a mobile phone, having service, cable, internet... it's impossible to live off the grid and use tech. At least not truly be off the grid. Also end to end encryption starts and ends with devices, there are no real encrypted devices on consumer level. At least not for the common person
