@NorthernInvader that's an interesting article. I was disappointed that overall it was still inconclusive. It reads as if religion in America is negative and abroad, not (paraphrasing). I find these types of studies fascinating. It was also interesting that they mentioned spirituality and such. This felt like a reference towards non christian/pagan/new age/agnostic type beliefs. Sadly the comic seems to have distilled to the lowest common denomination

@MrMalignance you can only do so much in 4 panels. Religion and spirituality (that posits an outside universal sentience that "manages" everything) is a delusion, an unwillingness to grasp that the universe is "governed" by the laws of physics and is not sentient in any way.

Fear of non-existence, and an historically understandable lack of scientific knowledge, have ruled Homo sapiens ever since we gained consciousness of our existence, and formed the basis for all such nonsense.
