Wrecked my neck on Sunday shaking out a duvet cover. #ChronicNeckPain is a bitch on a good day. My last five or so days have been agony. Hubby has been calling daily to try to move up my spine specialist appt and physical therapy (both second week of October.) Hauled my butt into urgent care because I can’t with the damn pain. I need to be able to make my bed or wash dishes without feeling like I totaled a car.

Kiddo woke up with wicked #anxiety. Barely ate three bites of bagel. Waffled between wanting to buy lunch and asking me to pack her lunch—worried she will get sick at lunch—because of the nervous tummy feeling. And then the damn bus app sent a message saying they were sending a spare bus while the ususal bus is in the garage. So today she felt, for the first time since school started, panic while boarding the bus. Me: 😖 & hubs: 😫 trying to chill the fuck out and hope the day gets easier for her.

Got my popcorn and apple cider and a whole lot of anxiety. LFG, I guess.

Help me out with something here. I need some advice:

After how many child reports of bullying language (“So-and-so said you’re ugly.” Loser sign. “I hate you.”) would you wait before messaging or calling a child’s (1st grade) teacher?

Yesterday my child’s school (among others in the area) received an online threat. Today an email said after investigating the Instagram threat, they have arrested a 13 yr old girl and taken her to juvenile court.

Guns & social media need regulations more than women’s & girls’ & trans kids’ bodies, more than what books kids can read, more than who you can marry, and so on & so forth on the countless things that are getting more restricted when they were never the problem to begin with.

Woke up achy.
Woke up rough.
Woke up feeling like not enough.

Coffee listened.
Coffee cared.

Yesterday my husband was scandalized when I told kiddo to take a book and read while she tried to go to potty.

Like he doesn’t take his phone with him for a long respite in the loo.
