OMG dear 🧌 Weiner Wednesday is not today! 
Borrowed the Call Jane movie from the library and kiddo saw the case sitting on the tv stand.
“What even is this?”
“It’s a mommy movie.”
“When I’m an adult, can I watch it with you?”
“Sure.”
“You’re the coolest mommy ever.”
Do I deserve it? Who knows, but I’m taking the W.
I just grabbed and pinched my nose but sneezed anyway. And the sound it made inside my head as I felt my brain rattle was the stabby death sound Kirby made in the gameboy Kirby’s Dreamland.

She did have an asthma flare up after the fever came down so we had to give her the rescue inhaler for the first time overnight. It took about 15 minutes before calming her cough and letting her sleep through the night. Hubs also knocked off seconds after she did. Me?
Well…Mom will need several pots of coffee today and an 800mg ibuprofen.
Survived the night, feel like I’ve been dragged by a horse for about a mile though. King size bed means absolutely nothing when your kid is needing to burrow in/on/under your armpit.
No more vomit or fever once we were finally able to convince her the Tylenol would help. Fingers crossed no more today so she can get back to school tomorrow. She’s so sad to miss out on Earth Day activities.
Kiddo was moaning and whimpering in her bed. Freaking fever. Sat her up to check her temp and she puked all over us. We took a shower, hubs changed her bed. The first thing she asked in the shower: “why was the puke ochre?” That’s right, “ochre.” Kid flexes her vocab smarts even while ill.
She’s in our bed now. It’s bad enough I will barely sleep tonight after three days in a row at the hospital. I might as well not get a double whammy of neck pain from sleeping in her room.

Got a letter several months back talking about how our property value has increased. Yeah sure, yay. Whatever.
Yesterday got a letter telling us how our escrow account is now short by about $1500, due to this property value increase. So our monthly mortgage has increased by $240.
So duCkIng GRaTeFuL that our property is “worth more.”

@th3j35t3r Shortly after I joined here, there was a fight about gun control by two members who shall not be named. There was sniping, and trying to pull you into it. You called them on that part, but let them figure out their differences on their own.
They took time away, and then came back and apologized. That's when I realized that CoSo would be different from literally all the other platforms.
It sucks, when you care about both people, but you'll figure it out. That trust built this place.
PSA: Do not ever speak the Q word to a healthcare worker. Don’t even think it. Don’t speak synonyms. Don’t allude to it. Don’t drop hints. Not even gestures. Just. Don’t. Do it.
We will resent and blame you for the next fall/rapid response/crisis/ED surge/code/etc. we encounter.

When you state a climate goal as a nation, it might provide some kind of national guidelines. But it’s really just complete greenwashing. You get a ton of attention and then when you fail to even come close, no one really cares. Scotland has done a better job than most nations here, but as the Earth burns, they are falling woefully short too of their state goals.
