Today's is Glenn Miller's "Pennsylvania 6-5000," debuted in 1940 at the Cafe Rouge, part of the Pennsylvania Hotel in NYC. PA6-5000 was the phone number to the now-gone hotel.
If you follow this feature daily, you're going to see a lot of Glenn Miller. Because Glenn Miller.
Enjoy!

Day 16

Good morning!
Fire watch today; sunny with gusty winds and low humidity. It's 30F heading for a high of 55 F.
Be careful out there, and be kind.
That's the weather from the ancient Blue Ridge of VA.

We've lost a hero. Thomas Stafford, veteran of four space missions, including the moon landing dress rehearsal Apollo 10 mission, passed away today after a long illness. He was 93..

Here, he's shaking hands with cosmonaut Alexey Leonov, after Stafford's Apollo rendezvoused with a Soyuz spacecraft in 1975.

If I had not found you all here, what would my life have been like?

Almost certainly "less" is the answer to that

CoSo is the finest online experience of my life. Simple as that

Hey, look! There's one of the photos I care for at work, in the Wall Street Journal!
Don't have a subscription; can't read the book review, sigh.

African American psychology and mental health is very different from other groups and cultures ... I'm not saying it doesn't share some commonality with other oppressed cultures ... what I'm saying is almost every member of the is going to be different from the white centered minority when it comes to mental health and even presenting symptoms. You have to be AWARE of those differences and you wouldn't be unless you studied it and no one has until recently.

From the clue of that last string missing...must have been a "Bridge too far"

Today's is Bing Crosby's "How are things in Glocca Morra?" from 1947.
I know St. Paddy's was yesterday (don't usually post on Sundays) and Bing was not Irish.
Remember that Kil denotes a Church or a wood -- both places of peace (for me).
Enjoy!

Morning, @janallmac
I once got an infestation of moths from birdseed. I keep it in metal cans on the porch but the bears will sometimes get into.
Sorry for your mess. Fixing with extreme prejudice?

Morning @Mandypar
How are things? A quiet Monday here if I avert my eyes from the political news.

Good Monday morning!
The very-warm weather has been replaced with seasonal temps. Although it's 40 F now, highs will be in the low 50s F and windy.
It will feel cold after the last week.
Since it's Monday, be especially kind to those around you.
That's the weather from the ancient Blue Ridge, where the bears are waking so empty your trash cans.
