ON this date in 1995 - Time Warner severed its ties with its rap label Interscope rather than release the debut album by Tha Dogg Pound.
Seems Bun Man and Mr. Purple, top Execs at TW, were huge, I mean huge, Cleveland Browns fans and the Boyz said "The Dog Pound is a Cleveland Icon, and we will not desecrate that icon to debut an album..."
All turned out to be right in the world, haven't heard much from That Dogg Pound group anyway...

ON this date in 1973 - U.S. Vice President Spiro Agnew said he would not resign after he pled "no contest" to a charge of tax evasion.
Federal prosecutors Bun Man and Mr. Purple were stunned when they heard Spiro say "Nolo Contende" to persistent questions on his tax evasion.
Bun Man would later tell Mr. P, "This is the start of politicians telling Americans the lies they want to hear..."
He did resign on October 10th.

Bun Man and Mr. Purple quickly saw an opportunity. They would market ENERGY DRINKS to an unsuspecting public and corner that market.
