In the Pantheon of Paramount Thoughts...

"...tolerance toward the intolerant cannot be infinite, or the tolerant risk eradication."

Austrian philosopher Karl Popper

Remembering a tragic morning

This morning, I was beaten up by a busty woman in an elevator.

I was staring at her boobs, and she told me to “press one.”

So, I did...and woke up on the floor.

(Did give me an idea for a Towel Tucking Service though)

AFTER THE DNC, FEELING A LITTLE SPIRITUAL

Ken-Dogger: Can’t wait to hear this, you guys practicing?
Guys: Yep, listen… “Oh Happy Day (oh happy day)
KD: Wow, guys into spirituals this morning…
Lead Singer Dog: Yes, but the lyrics bog us down.
KD: It’s not the words that matter, it’s the feelings you get…
Pip Dog #1: You mean when he washed?
KD: When he washed, I thought it was when Jesus walked?
LSD: Dude, stick with the feelings…it washes the sins away.

If Music Could Talk

(Not really sure what it is about this song, think it's really the infectious undertone in the beat and the sashaying way it meanders, love it)

A possible projection of the future...

“There is some concern that we are going to see some people who are just like, ‘Nope, this is all I want. Why go out and do that when I can stay home with my partner, my virtual buddy?’”

WHAT WILL THESE BABIES SEE?

Historybook: First Geneva Convention held (1864); American poet Dorothy Parker born (1893); Cadillac Motor Co. founded (1902); Althea Gibson is first African American to compete in a US national tennis tournament (1950); Black Panther Party founder Huey Newton is murdered (1989).

"There's a hell of a distance between wise-cracking and wit. Wit has truth in it; wise-cracking is simply calisthenics with words."

- Dorothy Parker

PRICE CONTROLS...this will be the new GOP counterstrategy against Kamala's economic plans

“‘It’s the economy, stupid!’ The monstrous creation called ‘Bidenomics’ is the real issue in this election. It’s resting peacefully at the bottom of the sea, but it’s not too late to shuffle those deck chairs! It's called price controls!.”-DW

Jim Hightower on WORK and Walz' Riches...

This is Jim Hightower saying ... Big Billionaire Bosses like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos bark that it's time for employees to double down on the "work ethic" -- yet there's no ethical core to the work they demand. Bosses don't get it, but what's happening today is not merely a labor rebellion but a revolution for humanity to be valued for itself ... and for workers to become their own bosses.

TRAGIC, just TRAGIC what some men can't get beyond...

ON this date in 1762 - In a moment of extreme clarity, Bun Man and Mr. Purple, owners of the Newport Mercury, named Ann Franklin the editor of the Mercury of Newport in Rhode Island.

She was the first female editor of an American newspaper.

The Boyz said it was time to hear a woman's voice...

They would be demonized for years by less liberated males.

What finally made ol' Georgie realize somethin' was askew?

While visiting Portsmouth, an American Schooner passing (Bun Man - Captain / Mr P - First Mate) had its entire crew moon the monarch.

He got the picture after that one.

ON this date in 1775 - The American colonies were proclaimed to be in a state of open rebellion by England's King George III.

This was preceded by the Stamp Act in 1774 and the Quartering Act that same year as well as Patrick Henry's inflammatory 'Give me Liberty or Give me Death' speech.
