Morning Brew's Opening today...
Good morning. Scientists have finally found the cure to screen addiction: more eclipses.
During the eclipse Monday afternoon, internet traffic plunged by 40%–60% from the previous week in states like Arkansas and Ohio that were in the path of totality, according to Cloudflare.
Web traffic in states with a partial view of the eclipse, such as Maryland and Connecticut, also declined, but not as dramatically (down 29%).

ON this date in 1972 - Isaac Hayes won an Oscar for the Best Music, Original Song award for the song "Shaft".
Isaac actually stole the idea from Bun Man when he overheard Bun while he was sitting at a table at Club 54 in Manhattan.
Bun was talking to this hot chick when Isaac heard her say, “What’s that?” and Bun replied “Shaft, can ya dig it?”
The rest is history baby.
Team members Bun Man, Mr. Purple, and Forrest Gump were hailed as 'Rock Stars' while in China, so much so that the Boyz and Forrest didn't want to leave.
The Team and the Boyz did finally depart after it was determined that the Chinese femmes were a little too communal.
Don't get me wrong, the Boyz didn't mind sharing, they just were hoping for a little more discretion.

"This was the beginning of the end for the American consumer and taxpayer; Too Big to Fail and Too Big to Jail..."
Mr. Purple added "But not too big that the govt. won't figure out a way to screw the individual and award a corporation w/ a conscience..."
Wait, corporations have a conscience?
Well, according to Roberts' SCOTUS they do...

ON this date in 1992 - In Los Angeles, financier Charles Keating Jr. was sentenced to nine years in prison for swindling investors when his Lincoln Savings and Loan collapsed.
The convictions were later overturned.
Bun Man just took off his knit cap and bowed his head.
Stunned, Mr. Purple and I turn to ask for an explanation. Bun Man says,

@Madken65 I honestly didn't notice Edey getting special treatment, but I did think it was a very physical game, the refs let them play without a lot of whistles.
Andrew Hurley has played in 12 NCAA tournament games and has 2 National Championships under his belt. That's a Stat and half in my opinion. I love this team so much.
Amish, like the Police, have the best weed...that's my theory, and I'm weeded, I mean wedded to it.
At my tallest, I was 5'5...what else could I be but a Point Guard?
Unsure how many watched the Men's game last evening, but I gotta tell you, as a former point guard, I would have loved to be able to push off my defender the way the refs allowed Zach Edey (Slowfoot) to push off the UCONN defenders repeatedly during the game.
@Jennifelroy Jen, your comments?
UConn goes back-to-back. The UConn men’s basketball team handled Purdue in last night’s NCAA title game 75–60 to become the first repeat champions since the Florida Gators in 2006–2007. The Huskies made it look easy, beating their six opponents in the tournament by an average margin of 23.3 points; they’ve now won 12 straight tournament games by double digits going back to last year.

WHAT AM I THINKING?
Sending CONGRATS to both the South Carolina Women's team and the UCONN Men's team for winning their respective tournaments, perhaps the most brutal Tourney on the face of the planet.
Two teams were dominant this year and both ended as National Champions, doesn't happen often, but this year was SPECIAL.
Both of these SCHOOLS have dynasties.

PLEASE KEEP DANCING...
Happy Birthday to my Angel sister Eileen, she would have been 76 today.
Eenie was taken from us far too soon, but her memory still brings joy to my other sisters and me.
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger,
May you never take one single breath for granted,
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed,
