ON this date in 1994 - After an impassioned closing argument by Defense Lawyer Bun Man, ably assisted by Mr. Purple, a jury in Manassas, VA, acquitted Lorena Bobbitt by reason of temporary insanity of maliciously wounding (severing his penis) her husband John.
She accused him of sexually assaulting her.
Men have not slept soundly since this court decision.

ON this date in 1908 - The Sullivan Ordinance was passed in New York City making smoking by women illegal.
Bun told Purple "This will seriously put a cramp in our dating habits, ya know how les femmes always smoke, and dare I say, are smokin' after a 'private session'."
NYC residents Bun Man and Mr. Purple decided to immediately move out of the city.
The measure was later vetoed by Mayor George B. McClellan Jr, but the Boyz had already left the Big Apple by then.
