And No One that I know has ever really come up with a justification for why ELIHU is no longer a popular boys name.
...I mean, it was just one little crate of goods, so maybe he was just an ordinary rich guy and not a likely sociopath like I am now convinced Cornelius Vanderbilt was.
@Madken65 Probably the same reason a lot of Hebrew names have become unpopular: antisemitism and the fear of it.
I think it's due to more than monosyllabic names...

I feel like people would be yodeling his name like ELI-HEE-HU and that probably would get old after a while.
I just learned how Vanderbilt University got *its* name, and let me tell you, Commodore Vanderbilt was not a nice guy. 😳
Billionaires don't protect anybody but other billionaires, and sometimes the people sucking up to them.
No idea about Eliheehu though. He might be OK, or not. 🤷
