ON this date in 1988 - In Baton Rouge, LA, TV evangelist Jimmy Swaggart confessed to his congregation that he was guilty of an unspecified sin.
Swaggart had been linked to an admitted prostitute.

Money continued to flow in, this time for Swaggart's defense fund--Seems members of his TV audience were still stupid enough to believe this charlatan.
