@MHS_Jenkins Well voting 3rd party is simply a vote for Trump. I agree we need a viable 3rd party. But this isn't the time for that. This election we must vote Democrats. Or we lose our democracy. Third party candidates need to do the right thing and stay off the ballot this year. We can't get distracted. Our entire way if life depends on Harris winning and every Democrat running winning their seats.

@DCliffo I should get you together with the Trump fanatics who insist that a third party vote is a vote for Harris and see what y'all come up with. I genuinely wish either mainstream party could field a real candidate and thus earn my vote without recycling old scare tactics.

@MHS_Jenkins I'm not recycling a scare tactic. Any vote that doesn't go to the Dem or Repub from the main party is a vote for the other side. I just happen to be liberal. So a vote for 3rd party is a vote for Trump. Just like a conservative vote for 3rd party is a vote for Harris. That's not a "scare tactic" it's the truth. 3rd parties have zero chance of winning. So essentially the vote is wasted. I'd love to have a viable 3rd party. But we're not there yet. Probably not in my life time.

@DCliffo However you have to justify it to yourself is fine by me; I'm not the one that needs convincing. As for a "real candidate"--given that there was in effect no primary can we really say that?

@MHS_Jenkins I feel that Harris is a real candidate. If Biden had died she would have taken over. It's not like she just came in on the last train. She's qualified. Certainly more so than trump. I don't feel the need to justify my stance on 3rd party. It's my opinion. I don't give a shit who agrees or disagrees. For this particular election, they are detrimental to our way of life. I refuse to give trump one inch. I have voted 3rd party. This election It's crucial we not get distracted.

@DCliffo @MHS_Jenkins I see any vote not for Harris as a vote for tfg. It’s always that way but THIS year is the most critical election ever. Its no time for a protest or revenge vote.

@NorCalCherylLyn @DCliffo For me it's neither a protest nor a revenge vote; it's a vote the reflects my belief in human rights, human dignity, and the need to end the prison industry in all forms.

@MHS_Jenkins @DCliffo we all should vote how our heart leads us to. Sure wish that more people’s hearts lead them toward peace and acceptance.

@NorCalCherylLyn @DCliffo I wish for that as well, and that's why I try to encourage folks to truly vote in that direction.

@MHS_Jenkins @DCliffo if we all just voted for what is best for the most people we’d be golden!

@DCliffo I think you're confusion the constitutional process of presidential succession with how the DNC handles its nomination process. And if you don't need to justify your stance on third parties--and I agree that you don't--why are you spending so much time doing just that?

If we're going to avoid distractions, let's avoid getting distracted from the human rights abuses that people like Harris perpetuate.

@MHS_Jenkins But the fact is, Harris is a real candidate, so there's that.
