FUNFACT: I started work on COSO immediately after Trump got elected the first time in 2016, because I was fully aware (for reasons) of the mis and disinformation being shoved out on social media by foreign entities that would benefit from him being President.

By November 2017 we were up and running.And have been ever since.

Countering social media, by trying to set an example, and fighting fire with fire.

Today, I recited this poem to every one of my classes.
Every veteran who serves writes a check to his country, signed in his life's blood, when he enlists. For the lucky ones, like me, the check is handed back when your service is complete. For too many others, it is cashed in, and they lie where they fell, serving their homeland, all over the world. Yet - they went anyway.

Took a stand on Facebook. Even before the election I took abuse from men who worship at the altar of Donald Trump and others like him. I know it's not all men but if male dominated social media platforms won't stand up for us by purging these jerks and women aren't given opportunities to front social media platforms, then we have to draw a line. My body, my autonomy is mine, not theirs. I just don't feel safe anymore.

#Zine team, these dates are flexible. Let's face it: it's been a rough month. We have a crossword, some Buddhism, and a few bits and bobs... but not enough for an issue yet!

It turns out that the 1890s weren't all that great. Reckless imposition of tariffs was one of the reasons why.

If we ignore history's disasters, we are doomed to repeat them.

Black people throughout the country, in more than 20 states, have been getting racist text messages that order them to report to a plantation for slave labor, according to reporting by CNN and numerous other outlets. The texts reference “slave catchers” and “picking cotton,” These hate-filled messages have been received by both kids and adults. The texts appear to be targeting Black and Brown individuals, including students.
