@MHS_Jenkins Well voting 3rd party is simply a vote for Trump. I agree we need a viable 3rd party. But this isn't the time for that. This election we must vote Democrats. Or we lose our democracy. Third party candidates need to do the right thing and stay off the ballot this year. We can't get distracted. Our entire way if life depends on Harris winning and every Democrat running winning their seats.

@DCliffo I should get you together with the Trump fanatics who insist that a third party vote is a vote for Harris and see what y'all come up with. I genuinely wish either mainstream party could field a real candidate and thus earn my vote without recycling old scare tactics.
@MHS_Jenkins I'm not recycling a scare tactic. Any vote that doesn't go to the Dem or Repub from the main party is a vote for the other side. I just happen to be liberal. So a vote for 3rd party is a vote for Trump. Just like a conservative vote for 3rd party is a vote for Harris. That's not a "scare tactic" it's the truth. 3rd parties have zero chance of winning. So essentially the vote is wasted. I'd love to have a viable 3rd party. But we're not there yet. Probably not in my life time.
@DCliffo However you have to justify it to yourself is fine by me; I'm not the one that needs convincing. As for a "real candidate"--given that there was in effect no primary can we really say that?
@DCliffo I think you're confusion the constitutional process of presidential succession with how the DNC handles its nomination process. And if you don't need to justify your stance on third parties--and I agree that you don't--why are you spending so much time doing just that?
If we're going to avoid distractions, let's avoid getting distracted from the human rights abuses that people like Harris perpetuate.
