@th3j35t3r I disagree. They're talking about Roman elites refusing to implement technological advances which would increase productivity a hundred-fold due to the inertia established by the slave economy. Why would they bother with things like steam power when they had an inexhaustible supply of slaves? @impermanence42
@th3j35t3r @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42 People...
They're talking about the power coefficient of various seed varieties in jules, as calculated by the relative air speed of their unladen selves in various nominal humidity and temperature bands. The one on the right claims that he's much faster in the early morning. The one on left believes this is bullshit, both due to the lower ambient temperature and the subviscous affects of increased aqueous humidification at near-dew point conditions.
@kel @th3j35t3r @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42
It's pretty obvious 👀 . They are talking about GMO corn. The first pic is evidence that they had a heated argument on theoretical and philosophical grounds. The 2nd pic clearly shows that after tasting the corn, they both entered a deeply pensive, meta- meta-physical state.
@artemis @kel @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42
...And we're off. Weeeee! 😂
Even if we are all birds of the same'ish feathers, we like to go off in unpredictable ways 🤣
@artemis @kel @th3j35t3r @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42
*sigh*
You men.
tsk tsk tsk
Notice the tilt of her head, the angle of her beak.
It has absolutely nothing to do with market economy, technological advances, or seed varieties.
She's telling him to stop complaining about the ratio of corn to millet and get the damn kids over to the feeder.
🤷🏼♀️
@Maude @artemis @kel @th3j35t3r @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42
This is clearly a lover’s quarrel and conundrum over Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. That the feeder, while great at easing some of the tension from the first physiological tier by providing food, makes anything less than the path to self-actualization unacceptable. Once the kernel of corn is eaten, that’s it, no procrastination, no excuses.
@peeppeepcircus @Maude @artemis @kel @th3j35t3r @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42
He is discussing the fact that they could have eaten earlier if she hadn't visited so long after church, and she pointed out that she was in the car waiting on him today, and he replied it was a first. And then they ate in silence the rest of the meal.
@MelissaHDavis @peeppeepcircus @Maude @artemis @kel @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42
Pure speculation, and if I may add - HOGWASH! You're all wrong! The one on the left thinks Docker Swarm offers a straightforward and beginner-friendly approach to container orchestration, but the one on the right says Kubernetes emerges as the superior choice for organizations seeking scalability, resilience, and extensibility in their containerized infrastructure.
@th3j35t3r @peeppeepcircus @Maude @artemis @kel @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42
They are comparing the pros and cons of building a nest in a boxwood or a dogwood. Mama feels the boxwood is safer.
@th3j35t3r @MelissaHDavis @peeppeepcircus @artemis @kel @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42
Oh contraire!
He has absolutely no concept of IT development.
He just wants to eat in peace!
She just wants him to get the damn kids!
@kel @th3j35t3r @MelissaHDavis @peeppeepcircus @artemis @LiberalLibrarian
I wonder if @impermanence42 returns to his post and...
@Maude @kel @th3j35t3r @MelissaHDavis @artemis @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42
oh for sure 😁 (right?)
@peeppeepcircus @Maude @kel @th3j35t3r @MelissaHDavis @artemis @LiberalLibrarian
the magic of community has infused Mr and Ms cardinal with such rich inner life
@impermanence42 @peeppeepcircus @Maude @kel @th3j35t3r @artemis @LiberalLibrarian
Magic of community.
Think about that a moment. How lucky are we? Thank you, @th3j35t3r. I don't say that often enough.
@th3j35t3r @MelissaHDavis @peeppeepcircus @Maude @artemis @kel @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42
well ...Ovid (red bird on left) wonders if the sky envies their freedom to roam its vastness...but Socrates (on the right) suggests they might actually envy the sky's limitless domain.
Ovid then muses on finding immortality in their flights and songs... a defiance of earthly bounds.
@th3j35t3r @MelissaHDavis @peeppeepcircus @Maude @artemis @kel @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42
Socrates counters him and questions the nature of immortality for creatures as ephemeral as they... and suggests that existence is transient... remembered only through the echoes of their songs.
Ovid sees a paradox in the desire to be remembered and argues that true freedom might lie in embracing the present.
THAT is what they're talking about.🦅 🐦
@th3j35t3r @MelissaHDavis @peeppeepcircus @Maude @artemis @kel @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42 maybe my philosophical references were too obscure 😂
You got it 100% imo.
@th3j35t3r @MelissaHDavis @peeppeepcircus @Maude @artemis @kel @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42
@TheAbbotTrithemius @th3j35t3r @MelissaHDavis @peeppeepcircus @Maude @artemis @kel @LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42 😂 I read too many Czech authors back in the day
@LiberalLibrarian @impermanence42
On second thoughts, you could be right - but I'll defer to @kel - he knows more about this stuff than me.
