I would love to be able to spell correctly in any language this morning. But I'm the point of frazzled where I can't even fake Middle English.

Neighbor: My kid is a picky eater.

Me: Mine too.

Neighbor: I worry about their health.

Me: Same.

Neighbor: I sneak fruit into their muffins.

Me: ... wait. Picky eaters can eat BREAD???

(Youngest would like to live off nuts and berries.)

Some of you come from cultures that don't have plum dumplings. I'm sorry the universe gave you ancestors who didn't know what to do with plums and bread. That's very sad.

Dinner's in 45 minutes, you can come over. I'm making extra.

A little #LegendOfFuyao and I feel human-ish and willing forgive the universe for what it did to my schedule (it knows exactly what it did). But I'm only on a forgiving mood because I found tiny plums at the market today and there are plum dumplings for dinner.

Sometimes people use science instead of religion to kill disabled people. But it's the same drive. It's the idea that those born with wonky genes should be left to die and medical care should only go to the privileged few.

F*** that noise.

Everyone has a right to life and medical care.

Eventually all anti-medical care religious movements get to a point where they say, "Our god doesn't believe disabled people should be alive. You don't get medical care, because our god thinks you were born a sinner who is going to hell."

They always wind up there.

Banning medical care is evil.

Today is for edits, packing kids for Japan, and getting groceries from the local market before it rains.

Growing up poor means I've never had an actual eye exam in my life. But I've noticed an uptick in migraines and accompanying eye problems so I'm trying to schedule an eye exam for after I get home from the travel madness that rules my schedule for the next few weeks.

What I've learned from watching billionaires in the spotlight is that, should you ever have unseemly amounts of money, you should stay as anonymous as humanely possible. Do not flaunt the wealth. Do not make headlines. Keep your head down. Because 99% of what you're doing is illegal.
