Okay, welcome to the one-day work week where I will be trying to collate as much of my notes as possible today because I need to have everything back to the author in seven days. At this point the edit are done, but I need to type them up.
As per usual, while I'm at the editing desk feel free to @ me with your questions about books, (English-language) publishing, and editing. I will check the #LianaEdits hashtag on breaks and I will generalized thoughts that apply widely.
there's a 100 year old woman who is having issues when she flies to visit her relatives... the airlines list her as an unaccompanied minor because her birthdate is 1923, but the airline ticketing just uses the last 2 digits, making her an infant. so she has to be accompanied by security everywhere she goes
I can't stop thinking about how the push to settle space rather than utilize our oceans only benefits certain people. If we could better utilize oceans, at-risk populations could be saved and we could better the lives of billions. If we settle Mars, we can make a few people kings and the rest slaves.
I've run into a conundrum.
If a woman is wearing a spiky headdress in a historical drama and a man grabs her from behind against her will - why is she not slamming her head back to take his eyes out? I've run the math. It would work.
@LianaBrooks I noticed. One of these days, I'm going to drop some green energy on some of your book stash, so I can read them and support art.
; )
(Don't hold your breath, I'm fighting social securitee!)
"Yes, I'll travel up to the mountains to move a body from the grave where you're supposed to be. But only if you come with me so I can make heart-eyes at you."
It's over-the-top unhinged but I love it.
On a scale of 1 to "help me hide a body" how much does your totally-not-a-boyfriend-honest love you?
