My thoughtful spouse, @rthstew, gave me this sand sculpture, and it is (mostly) keeping me off social media.

Here's another reason we should each work towards a carbonless-fuel economy as fast as we can. For the last several centuries, transitions to lower carbon (higher hydrogen) fuels have led to higher standards of living. Yes it's been unequally shared, but that's a political issue.

About the header picture: I volunteer for Boulder Food Rescue. We gather excess fresh food from stores and restaurants and distribute it to people who don't have much access to it. And we do most of it by bicycle + trailer, usually in gentler weather than this, but I love having a challenging adventure without leaving town. Learn more at https://www.boulderfoodrescue.org and whether your town has a food rescue at https://www.foodrescuealliance.org/
@rthstew Welcome! I hope this is as good and useful for you as the first generation has been for me, with no ruination of your life!
@Craig3010 That's great! I once woke from a dream laughing, but at the same time it had the feeling of a nightmare. Really strange!
@emotionallemon8 I get those whisper-shouts too, and the slo-mo running. Brain and body working against each other!
@Dogofalltrees Cedar is a good dog. They certainly know when their humans are in distress!
@Dogofalltrees Thanks! I just realized that my notifications don't notify me 🧐
@Pawstalker That sounds terrifying!
@KarenSohne What are you planning to do with yours? I only have some dregs that my neighbor's family gave me after he passed away. I'm hoping for enough for some small candles.
