Today is National Coq Au Vin Day and National Biscuit Day
I'm going to assume both cookie biscuits for the non-americans and american biscuits so I can have double yums.
Bread appreciation post! I met a woman in TN who does baking and homesteading. She makes the most incredible sour dough goods. Bread, scones, brownies, as well as some yeast bread and rolls. Baked to order. These arrived fresh and still warm yesterday, before I began my drive.
Ya'll. The self control I have had the last 2 days is nothing short of amazing. THE SMELLS bout drove me to cave in. Sooo good. Cheddar and roasted garlic, and blueberry.
@mcfate this is what I was referencing earlier 🤤
I wish this was new behavior. Over a hundred years ago Singer required that traded-in machines be destroyed by the shops that took them in - and they were destroyed by the millions. This was to keep the used market starved.
I designed the first one of these to be seen in PA: https://www.npr.org/2024/05/28/1243933142/diverging-diamond-interchange-chlewicki
It never got built, but PennDOT loved what we presented to them and used it elsewhere. I've also dealt with Gil on the design. He was aggravating as he kept evolving the design parameters as we worked on it, as if he was refining the standards by using us as a casestudy in the geometry. He was also high concept and didn't grasp the hard design requirements PennDOT has that I also had to work within.
Today is a meat #foodholidays
It's National Hamburger Day and National Brisket Day.
