Quadrantid meteor shower: When, where & how to see it in 2024

The Quadrantid meteor shower is active (and visible) between Dec. 28 and Jan. 12, and will peak between Jan. 3 and Jan. 4.

The time of the shower's peak is set for about 4 a.m. EST on Jan. 4, which favors eastern North America, as previously reported on Space.com.

My very arthritic father also works wood and has expressed interest in documenting his processes/video-ing the deets. He needed something for his "Olde hands." Super ergonomic, really pleased. Sealing today.

Black walnut arms, silver maple housings, Baltic birch tensioners, 1/2" through-bolts, 5/8 swivel rod, cast desk clamp. Holds 12lbs at full extension, plenty to cover AI-capable cameras, key lights, etc.

He's fkn ready.

I have a wee box of those! My aunt used to give my mom a box every xmas. She (mom) passed really young, so dad kept buying a box for us to share. He was the one who loved them and ate as many as he could get away with. 😳 😂
One of my kiddos (the middle one) always buys a couple small boxes to share with the fam.🍒 🤗

I really like the rough hewn look of these logs. I imagine that they'll end up as beams and look pretty fecking amazing.

He's become another follow for me.

I'm at a part in the novel process that should be familiar to fellow writers: *fear* of finishing.

There's that moment when you're on the cusp, and you dawdle, simply because you're worried that once it's over and you go back, you'll see that what it amounted to just wasn't good enough.

It's a weird brain quirk, which just needs to be named sometimes to put aside.

I should finish the draft tomorrow. Revisions by the weekend. And it will be what it is, when it's done. 👌

I figure that someday.... If my kids care enough to go through all the pictures I have... They'll see everything that I thought was worth keeping and maybe gain a bit of perspective as too who I was beyond them... 🤷🏻‍♂️

a secret waterfall me and my eldest daughter used to hike to in Bonny Doon, CA.

I made lentil soup in the pressure cooker in seven minutes —added some cumin and broth and it is delicious!
