What's wrong with this picture?
It's soooooo wrong, that Clark stood barking at it for about 3 minutes.
Yep, just the Rubik's cube
That's it
That's all poor Clarky needs to get upset over. 🤦♀️.
Clark: Something changed because it was on the end table and now it's off the end table and this is different bark bark bark bark bark bark bark
@Tbdev new and different things trigger him and barkfestapocolypse 🤷♂️
@Kurtroedeger
He's just being helpful.
Good boy, Clarkie... Good boy...
It's *WRONG*
I had a dog who once panicked completely because I'd left a laundry basket on the floor in the hall. He went around the corner, and then ran out and turned and hid behind me. Even after the offending basket was removed, it took a while before he'd go into that hall.
@tyghebright we had to move the Christmas tree because it terrified him and was too close to the door they go out, so he just wouldn't go out. 🤦♀️. But when he's well rested and all is in order, he is such a sweetypie
Mmm pie
@Kurtroedeger awwww, sweet pup. He help
@Kurtroedeger I swear Clark and Kramer are related.
If Clark is in the bedroom I'm not allowed to even lightly touch the closet door. If it moves so much as a mouse fart, he will start barking and run out of the room terrified. That seems to be the only door that causes distress. 🤷♂️
Such good all's.
@Kurtroedeger Poor Clark. :( Kramer gets that way with the door to the pantry/basement in the kitchen.
Clark takes fluoxetine to get to the level we are at. He was 100 times worse before the meds started working. We call it puppy Prozac.
@Kurtroedeger Ermagerd. Kramer’s on Prozac, too. It helps him somewhat. He has significantly improved his displaced aggression towards Quincy - he used to constantly go after Quincy when he was startled or anxious. He’s still got a bit to go, but he’s doing better.
@misslovelymess it knocks the peaks down and smooths the bumps. But there are still underlying things that pop up sometimes. We couldn't have any guests over when we first got him. Now we can actually do that some.
@Kurtroedeger We can have company, as long as he knows them. He does not care for people he considers strangers, at all. He does remember my son who is only here a few times a year, which is good.
Also, he hates the neighbors. I have no idea why, they are not strangers.
He does not give us any problem at all about being closed in our bedroom when we have people over he doesn’t know.
@Kurtroedeger I’m currently listening to a bark fest over a car alarm. Strange noises, scary. And he hate, hates loud mufflers.
@misslovelymess I kinda hate loud mufflers too. That's a fair thing for him.
@misslovelymess boops to Kramer.
@Kurtroedeger
😂! We have one of those!
We used to walk in this wash near the house. (In Tucson, a wash is a dry river bed that carries our infrequent rain down from the mountains and out of the valley.
Lots of wide open space for trekking and sniffing.)
Someone left a folding chair in the middle of one section and when Cody laid eyes on it, from about 50 yards off, he stopped dead in his tracks, like he was looking at a grizzly bear. We had to give that chair a wiiiide berth.
Oh, that wasn't a chair. That was a mimic. He saved you. Many treats to Cody. All the treats!!
@Kurtroedeger
He's about as smart as he looks
Quick, go out and buy more treats
The bacon kind, the peanut butter kind. That's sweet baby needs them.
@Kurtroedeger
He DOES deserve them.
Clark’s just pissed it’s taking him so long to figure. I too have a Rubik’s cube I bark at…
Bark bark bark..
Like I told Clarky, it won't solve itself by you yelling at it.
@TheAbbotTrithemius
That's fair.
@Kurtroedeger
I don’t doubt that neurodivergence is present in animals.
Sounds like similar behavior, albeit crying not barking, I witnessed in kids diagnosed with spectrum disorder.
All of my animals have been “special needs” in one way or another, and have brought me great joy. They are all loved
