@duglop Oh, he's a regular goofball. Fortunately, he can laugh at himself, so we have a lot of good laughs together over his "foibles" :)

My husband and I knew right from the start that we did NOT want children because neither of us have the right temperament to be good parents, and I've had lifelong heath problems that have caused a progressive debilitation, to the point where I've been bedridden for about a decade. If we'd have had kids, my husband would have been stuck having to work while caring for both me and out kids. I have NO doubt we made the right choice. That law would have destroyed us.

@JeSsA @duglop Oh, man... this reminds me of my dear Xan. When he was about 5 or 6 years old he started getting seizures whenever we took him anywhere in the car (which quickly became ONLY when he had to go to the vet.) Then one day when he was 12, he just stared getting seizure after seizure, and we couldn't find any way to stop it, so we had to let him go. That was so awful. I'm sorry you had to go through something like that, too!! 🤗

@MallyDaKatt It gets more insane than that. Some 2A supporters say that since the 2A says "arms" not "guns" that *any* kind of weapon should be legal - even private ownership of nuclear weapons. Granted, I've never heard of a viable politician saying that (so far), but it's definitely a belief out there.

I am so thrilled to have learned (a bit late, but thank the gods for streaming) that the Law and Order mothership is BACK! It's my all time fave show ;) The new chars are good, and my only real complaint is that the prosecution teams wins too regularly. I liked it a lot more when I was as anxious for the verdict as the prosecutors were. That's easy to fix, tho, and i hope they will bring back some of that dramatic ambiguity. Otherwise it been just like slipping into a comfy old sweater

@Rickbflony While I get and *love* the point she's making here, men will argue that vasectomies often end up not being reversible and that banning abortion doesn't put the woman at risk of inadvertently being permanently sterilized. If we can figure out a good argument against that, though, and I think it'd be a fine plan.
