I did that with a biz in CA; the CA Attorney General (AGBecerra on Twitter) contacted the biz & they had to respond and justify their actions. Made me feel better, anyway.
Iowa, on the other hand, ignored my report. It just depends, I guess.

2/2 As far as I am aware, no lender is going to release a title to anyone as long as there is a lien on it (an outstanding loan). It is their security/collateral to ensure the loan is repaid.
I'd start with the new state DMV and/or your auto insurance company for advice on how to proceed.
@WhoopassGirl Looking in on your convo w/Glytch - can you ask your insurance company what you need to do in order to register vehicle in your new state?
Also, you should be able to look at your new state's DMV website which will lay out what you need to do to register vehicle.
